Coaching and Mentorship
In addition to my psychedelic journey curation services, I have decided to offer something that has been highly requested for a while now: coaching and mentorship. With these sessions, we will work collaboratively towards your goals based on an ancestrally rooted approach.
My areas of support:
- Men and positive masculinity
- Community organizing
- Whiteness, decolonization and ancestral reconnection
- Spiritual practices
- ADHD + autism: going from survival mode to understanding, tending to and using your power
When I meet with clients, the focus is on understanding their personal context, tailoring next steps for personal and interpersonal change, and seeing what resources they can tap into to support their work.
I have already been providing these services to a few clients, and doing so has been mutually rewarding. The time feels right to offer sessions to more people.
Sessions are $100 USD per hour.

Dr. Hilary Agro, MA, PhD
Anthropologist and Journey Guide
I’m an anthropologist, researcher, harm reductionist and community organizer. I’ve built an audience of 200,000+ on social media based on my activism and public education work on psychedelics and other drugs, as well as sociopolitical analysis.
I am very loud about social justice and critical thinking, and in an environment full of grifters and bullshitters, people really respond to those of us trying to inject some compassion and critical thinking into public discourse.
I’m based in Toronto and meet with people via video call.
Workshops
Below are three workshops that I offer. Each are one hour long, with participatory elements. They can be expanded into two-hour sessions.
Psychedelics and Decolonization ($500)
This workshop offers an overview of psychedelics from a decolonized approach, with a harmonized balance between neuroscience and Western peer-reviewed research, and Indigenous knowledge traditions and animist spirituality.
Companion videos: My PhD Dissertation, A Beginner’s Guide To Psychedelics
Ideal audiences: Professional, medical, and/or academic.
Decolonized Community Organizing ($500)
Based on my PhD research, this workshop links the necessity of collective healing to movement-building work. I will be conducting this workshop at Bloom Festival 2026, free for all attendees.
Companion video: Why We Need To Heal To Get Free
Ideal audiences: Activists, academics, and/or community organizers.
Men, Masculinity and Healing ($500)
Rooted in an approach that values and respects the humanity of men, this workshop is a guided tour through a decolonial history of how men have been harmed by structural forces, and guides men to tap into their power through an engagement with ancestral lineages and step into their role as valued community builders.
Companion videos: Men Are Not Trash, 7 Ways Society Is Unfair to Men
Ideal audiences: Any.
FAQ
Are you a registered therapist?
No. Mentorship services do not provide therapy.
How do I transfer the money?
I currently only take PayPal (from anywhere) and e-transfer (in Canada).
What video call platform do you use?
For security reasons, my preference is the app Signal, which works on phones and desktop computers. Zoom and Google Meet are also options.
Do you take insurance?
Unfortunately, my services are not covered by insurance.
What if I can’t afford your services?
In some cases we can arrange a labour exchange: there are a few things I need help with (lit review work, website stuff, video editing), so we can trade an hour of each others’ time.
Otherwise, part of the reason I’m doing this is to make enough money to support all work I do providing education for free. So check out some of the free resources I’ve compiled, and subscribe to my YouTube channel for more.
What are your qualifications?
- Master’s research on harm reduction and benefit enhancement among people who use drugs (primarily psychedelics) in Toronto.
- PhD dissertation on underground psychedelic therapy and decolonization.
- Trained in psychedelic crisis support.
- 15+ years of providing community harm reduction support, through organizations, social media and informally.
- Mother of two (if you have kids, you’ll understand the extra experience this gives me with patience and loving, non-judgmental support).
- Some of the talks I’ve given:
Can I book a free trial call?
Fifteen-minute trial calls can be booked for those who are thinking of committing to regular sessions. My YouTube videos and other work should give a sense of what my approach is like.
What languages are your services available in?
English and Spanish.
Anything else I should know?
DISCLAIMER: I am not a therapist or a doctor. The goal here is to offer educational information and support.
